Generate QR code for WhatsApp AI-agent

You can create a QR code to allow users to start a conversation with your WhatsApp AI-agent. You can also include a pre-set message to prompt users to initiate the conversation when they scan the code.

Prerequisite​

  • Make sure your WhatsApp channel is connected to the AI-agent. To know more about how to connect the AI-agent to WhatsApp channel, click here.

Configure QR code for WhatsApp AI-agent​

To configure QR code for WhatsApp AI-agent, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you are in the Live or Production environment.

  2. Go to Extensions > Channels > Messaging > WhatsApp.

  1. Click the highlighted-icon to set a pre-composed message for the QR code. Note that, this step is optional.

  2. Enter the pre-compose message as per your requirement (for example, "Hi" or "Hello! Can you assist me with my query?") and click Save.

  3. Click View more to see the Generate QR and Short link.

  4. Click Download icon to download the generated QR code on your system.

  • The QR code will be downloaded in your system's folder.

  1. To verify, scan the downloaded QR code. You will see pre-composed text where you can edit the message as needed before sending to the bot.
