Lazada is an e-commerce platform operating in Southeast Asia. It provides an online marketplace for sellers to sell their products to users.

Connecting Lazada to facilitates automated bot responses and live agent support. Users can seamlessly engage, receive responses, and view clicked products during their chat interactions.

Supported message types

The Lazada channel supports the following message types for interactions between agents/bots and users:

  • External links cannot be shared by the user.
  • The Doc Cog functionality is not supported due to the inability to include external links in messages.
  • Disconnecting the integration on the Yellow end will not automatically remove the webhook subscription. Users need to de-authorize the app on their end separately.

To ensure uninterrupted service, it is essential to reconnect this channel every 6 months, as Lazada authorization keys expire periodically.

Prerequisites to set up Lazada

To set up Lazada, you need to consider the following prerequisites:

  • Lazada Seller account
    • Businesses should have a Lazada seller account.
  • Lazada Buyer account for testing
    • To test the bot, users need a Lazada buyer account.
    • Download the Lazada app from the Google Play Store, App Store, or App Gallery, depending on your mobile device’s operating system.
    • Create a Lazada account using your buyer credentials.

Connect your bot to Lazada app

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Extensions.

  2. Click Channels > Messaging > Lazada.

  3. Click Connect to Lazada.

  4. Authorize the permission to interact with the bot by selecting the Country, entering the Email and Password, and then click Submit.

  • Once consent is provided, your bot will be successfully connected to the Lazada app.

Test Lazada chatbot

After connecting your Lazada account to the Yellow bot, you can test the bot, as explained here:

  1. Open your Lazada app and login using buyer credentials.

  2. Start a conversation to test the bot with automated responses and Live agent support.
