Create your project
A project is the workspace that holds everything you build on Nexus - your agents, knowledge, data, workflows, and channels. Right after you sign up you land on the create-project form; you can also start a new one any time from the project switcher (top-left) → + New project.
Fill in the create-project form
| Field | What to set |
|---|---|
| Subscription | The subscription this project belongs to. |
| Data storage region | Where your project's data is hosted. Choose carefully - it's set for data-residency compliance and can't be changed later. |
| Name | A name for your project. |
| Avatar | Pick a preset avatar or upload your own. |
| Persona | The default tone: Polite and persuasive (sales), Empathetic and helpful (support), or Witty (marketing). You can refine it later in Configuration. |
| Describe your AI agent's role | A short description (up to 400 characters) of what your assistant does - e.g. "A support assistant for Yellow Bikes that helps shoppers find the right e-bike and tracks orders." |
Click Create project.
What happens next
You land on the project Overview, which shows a Setup progress checklist - Set up AI Agents → Add Knowledge → Create Agentic Workflows → Setup Business Objects - plus quick actions to Create agent, Add content, Add workflows, and Deploy.
Every project has Sandbox, Staging, and Production environments (switch between them from the environment selector). Build and test in a lower environment, then publish to Production when you're ready.
Next: build your first agent
Your project is the container; the real work is the agents inside it. Build your first one - a Bike Finder you can talk to - in the Quickstart.
